5 reasons why Pulley Laundry Racks are perfect for Tiny Homes

As some of you may know, we live in a Tiny House. In the beginning there were some teething issues when it came to doing laundry, which lead to the creation of our 'Pulley Laundry Rack' as the solution. These are the top 5 reasons why Pulley Laundry Racks are the perfect addition to Tiny Homes.

1. No clothesline
Most Tiny Houses don't come with a designated clothes line, or a sheltered place to hang laundry outside. Drying clothes inside becomes essential, but then there is the question of where to put the drying rack.

2. Space
A clothes horse takes up a huge chunk of indoor space inside a Tiny Home or a small space. Try walking around what feels like a giant rack of wet clothing! Been there, done that, didn't like it! The 'Pulley Laundry Rack' fully lifts up out of the way, leaving the floor space clear, and also gets your wet clothing out of your eye-line!

3. Storage
As well as a clothes horse taking up a lot of space when in use, it also uses a fair bit of valuable storage space. The 'Pulley Laundry Rack' has its own storage spot, in the ceiling. No cupboard space wasted!

4. Dry time
Clothing tends to dry faster in the ceiling! You always need adequate ventilation when drying clothes inside, so with a window cracked open, and a dry heat source cranking, like a wood burner, those clothes are going to dry in no time!

5. Aesthetics
Clothes horses don't look great. They are functional (in some spaces) but I don't know many people who are adding a normal clothes horse to their home decor list. I tried to create a unique 'Pulley Laundry Rack', that would add rather than subtract from your interior design!

I am thankful that all 5 of these reasons lead to the creation of this rack, because now now our handmade product can be found in Tiny Houses, small spaces, laundry rooms, and garages around the world!

A couple super exciting moments for us as a small business was when our rack was featured on TV in a Tiny House here in New Zealand. As seen here: https://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/homed/houses/117521278/single-mother-moves-into-new-tiny-house-and-lives-offgridAnd when an American Youtube Channel called 'Tiny House Listings' titled a video they shared "Tiny House With Ingenious Pulley System" referring to our rack in a Tiny House built by Build Tiny. Video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zco9Qaes_HM

Thank you for reading, I hope you found this insightful!
